Our research focuses on the integration of machine learning and artificial intelligence with medical image computing and informatics. Key research areas include:

  • Medical Image Reconstruction — Accelerating MRI acquisition via multi-modal reconstruction, motion correction, and sparse sampling
  • Medical Image Registration — Deformable registration for longitudinal and cross-sectional brain imaging, infant brain development
  • Computer-Aided Diagnosis — Deep learning for disease screening (cervical cancer, knee osteoarthritis, Parkinson’s disease, glioma)
  • Medical Image Synthesis — Cross-modality synthesis (MR-to-CT, PET synthesis) and image enhancement
  • Gaze-Guided Learning — Using radiologist eye gaze as supervision for deep learning in medical imaging
